Scientific Animation Workflow: Script to Final Delivery
Approve the scientific script and storyboard before detailed production. Review motion and visual meaning together, then inspect the playback file and source-file delivery separately.
Establish sources and audience
Define the research question, audience and intended use. Record references for structures and relationships. Mark what is observed, proposed or metaphorical. A conference explanation may require a different pace and labeling density from a supplemental research video.
Approve the script and storyboard
Describe each scene's objects, action and connection to the next scene. Estimate timing and identify labels or narration. Review the storyboard with the authors before detailed models, materials and rendering are finalized.
Review structure and motion
Inspect object identities, spatial context, arrow roles and transitions. Moving an object can imply transport, interaction or causation; confirm that interpretation. A camera move is a presentation choice, not a new scientific observation.
Define delivery before the final render
Agree aspect ratio, dimensions, frame rate, codec, subtitles, audio, source-scene files and revision milestones. Open the actual playback file on its intended display and check labels, timing, missing frames and audio synchronization. Keep permissions for all third-party elements.
Use scientific-animation services for a separately scoped commission. A quotation record should identify duration, scene count, modeling and output needs.

Sources and scope
Sources apply within their stated scope. Archive records describe existing work; international account access and checkout remain closed.
