Scientific illustration, with a defined brief
Commission a figure from author-approved research materials. Agree the story, drawing scope, revisions, editable files and publication requirements before production.
Match the service to the figure's role
Use mechanism diagram design for objects, conditions and supported relationships. Choose graphical abstract design for a concise paper narrative. Journal cover design develops a cover candidate and its explanation; publisher selection is a separate decision.
Use review figure design for literature organization, paper figure design for main-text panels, TOC graphics for directory display, data visualization for plotted information and scientific animation for motion. Define the delivery scope before agreeing a quote or schedule.
Prepare an inquiry without sending confidential data
Start with a shareable abstract, the figure's purpose, approximate panel count, target journal or presentation format, source-material availability and deadline. For unpublished findings, establish confidentiality and transfer arrangements before sending files. The researcher remains responsible for the study claims, data and scientific approval.
Agree what will be delivered
Confirm the number of figures, the 2D or 3D approach, revision scope, final dimensions, output formats and which objects in any source file must remain editable. Publication licenses and third-party material permissions need their own check. See case notes for examples of visual organization.
Keep commissioned work separate from subscriptions
Pro and Max are platform plans, not prepaid custom-design packages. Commissioned work receives a separate written quote and payment arrangement. Contact the team with a non-confidential brief.
