Mechanism diagrams that distinguish objects and relationships

Start with the process the figure must explain. Identify objects, conditions, direction and evidence before deciding on perspective, color or 3D detail.

Build an object-and-arrow brief

List each object, its location or scale, the relationship shown by each arrow and whether that relationship is observed, proposed or contextual. Use a legend when activation, inhibition, transport and process arrows coexist. Do not turn an attractive visual connection into an unsupported mechanism.

Separate overview and detail

Use an overview for the complete process and a detail view for an interface, compartment or local event. Keep the same object identity across both views. The catalytic-interface case note discusses this distinction without adding research conclusions.

Confirm the delivery and scientific review

Agree labels, panel dimensions, source files, output formats and revision scope. Structure views can be prepared through a 3D-LAB workflow, while multi-panel organization follows a separate layout check. Request a scoped quote using shareable materials.
